My handle is turning off the water on it's own

Hey there, we’re sorry to hear that you’re having issues with your Pfister faucet. We know it’s frustrating when something doesn’t work how it’s supposed to, but the good news is that there may be an easy fix to get you back up and running.

Solution: Re-assemble the handle

Let's start by turning off the water supply to your faucet.

Remove The Handle

Remove The Handle

Next remove the handle by unscrewing the allen screw on the front or back of the handle.  Some faucets may have a small cap that you will need to remove to access the allen screw.

Unthread the Dome Cap

Unthread the Dome Cap

Unthread the dome cap so that you can access the retainer nut.

Tighten the retainer nut

Tighten the retainer nut with a crescent wrench.

Reassemble The Handle

Reassemble The Handle

reassemble the handle by threading down the dome cap (hand tighten) and securing the handle with the allen screw.

Turn On Your Water

Turn On Your Water

Finally turn on your water supply and turn on your faucet and check if the issue with your faucet had been resolved.
