Purposeful Technology Offers Convenience in the Kitchen - Selia with React™, the New Touch-Free Kitchen Faucet by Pfister®

Aug 8, 2014

LAKE FOREST, Calif. — August 13, 2014 — Convenience is important in the kitchen. As the room where delicious meals are crafted and dinner conversation is created, the kitchen is a place where a helping hand is always needed. That’s why Pfister® developed its Selia Touch-Free Kitchen Faucet with REACT™ technology.

The Selia Touch-Free Faucet was designed with simplicity in mind. Using proprietary REACT™ (Response Activated Technology) simply guide your hand or an object within the sensor range to turn water on or off.

“Today’s homes are filled with smart technologies designed to make our lives easier, but sometimes they can be overwhelming,” says Darin Heuer, Group Marketing Manager, Pfister Faucets. “The Selia faucet offers technology with a purpose, allowing consumers to conveniently and efficiently perform everyday tasks like doing dishes or washing hands.”

The REACT™ touch-free technology helps consumers keep a cleaner, healthier kitchen by minimizing the spread of germs, fingerprints and water spots. Additionally, Hibernate mode gives the user the option to disable the sensor during faucet cleaning. The SmartStop functionality automatically turns off the faucet after two minutes to save water, giving consumers peace of mind.

Manual Override allows the consumer to operate the faucet with the handle at any moment enhancing its flexibility, while the extended pull-down hose reaches every corner of the sink.
Additional Selia faucet features include:
  • AccuDockTM advanced spray head docking system ensures a tight connection to the faucet spout
  • EZ Clean™ nozzles on the spray face enable removal of mineral buildup with a quick wipe, keeping the Selia looking new, longer
  • 1- to 4-hole configuration allows installation versatility
  • The Selia with REACT™ is powered by 6 AA batteries. Additionally, a plug-in option is sold separately.
“We have incorporated purposeful technology to make our product easier to use, while offering consumers an affordable option,” says Brian Schaadt, Senior Product Manager, Pfister Faucets.

Selia Touch-Free Faucet, with an MSRP of $299, will be available at select Lowe’s stores across the country in late 2014.
