Pfister™ Launches Campaign to Engage Consumers in Securing Product Donations for National Nonprofit Rebuilding Together

Mar 22, 2012

Each New “Like” on Pfister’s Facebook Page through April 30 Earns $1 in Product Donation to Aid American Families in Need.

Lake Forest, California (March, 2011) - In an effort to give back and support US homeowners, Pfister™ today announced a social media campaign to engage consumers in raising awareness and product donations for Rebuilding Together. The leading national nonprofit working to preserve affordable homeownership and revitalize neighborhoods, Rebuilding Together provides free home repairs to homeowners in need. April is National Rebuilding Month and for each new “Like” on the Pfister Facebook page through April 30, 2012, Pfister will donate $1 worth of Pfister kitchen and bath faucets to the organization.

Those who are already fans of Pfister on Facebook or do not participate in social media can still contribute to the cause by:

  • Sharing news of the campaign with friends and family through friendsofpfister.com and encouraging them to “Like” Pfister’s Facebook page
  • Making a monetary donation to the Friends of Pfister campaign through Causes.com, which Pfister will match up to a total of $5,000
  • Signing-up for the Friends of Pfister campaign e-newsletter, which will provide tips on how to become involved in one’s own local community
“We understand the challenges the current economic environment has created for many families,” said Greg Williamson, president, Pfister. “That’s why when we spoke to the team at Rebuilding Together last year and witnessed first-hand their passion for providing safe and healthy homes for all – whether that meant disabled military veterans or those affected by natural disasters – we knew this was a cause that we wanted to throw our support behind. It truly just felt like the perfect pairing at the ideal moment in time, and we want more people to learn about and support their life-changing efforts.”

Rebuilding Together believes in the ability to preserve affordable homeownership and revitalize communities by providing free home modifications and repairs, making homes safer, more accessible, and more energy efficient. As the economic pressure on low-income families grows, more and more families are placed in the position of choosing between vital necessities and essential home repairs and modifications. In many cases, those repairs may include the need for new kitchen and bath faucets that provide access to safe running water. It’s through financial contributions, product donations and the volunteer hours of more than 200,000 individuals nationwide that Rebuilding Together is able to rehabilitate approximately 10,000 homes each year.

“We are grateful for the significant product donation from Pfister. It will support our organization and families all over the country who are in need this year,” said Gary A. Officer, president and CEO, Rebuilding Together. “For a household choosing between groceries and a working kitchen faucet with which to help cook meals, it will make all the difference in the world.”

April 25, 2012 is National Rebuilding Day. To learn more about how to help Pfister reach its goal of donating $20,000 in product to Rebuilding Together, visit Pfister on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/pfisterfaucetshttp://www.friendsofpfister.com and the Friends of Pfister page on Causes.com.
