1. Leaking/Noisy Operation:

If the unit is leaking from the handle, dripping from the spout or making noise when the faucet is turned on or off you would need to replace the ball valve assembly (974-010) as well as the retainer ring (949-090).  If the unit is leaking from the base or is making noise when rotating spout left / right, replace the o-rings (950-071) and use some lubricant (974-290) to install them. Click here if you need to match your cartridge(s) or if would like to see all cartridge types we have.

2. Handle operation:

If the handle becomes loose, hard, stiff to operate or does not stay on the correct position, replace the cartridge (974-010) as well as the retainer ring (949-090). Click here if you need to match your cartridge(s) or if would like to see all cartridge types we have.

3. Water restriction/No pressure:

If there is water restriction or no pressure in water flow, please check for the following:

Step I:
Make sure water supply is turned on fully.
Step II:  Check the aerator for any debris that may have collected during repair or  installation.
Step III:  Make sure supply lines are flushed and there are no kinks in hoses.

If there is no change, diverter must be replaced with (974-012) diverter. Diverter piston or spring becomes stuck and doesn't allow full flow to spout or spray or no flow at all. This maybe caused by sediment (in older units) or debris lodged in the diverter valve that may have traveled through water supply during repair or installation.

4. Diversion problem:

If the unit is not diverting the water from the main faucet to the sprayer (or vice versa) you would need to replace the diverter (974-012) along with the side sprayer part (951-087a) for faucets with spray mounted on the deckplate or (951-088a) for faucets with spray mounted off to the side in a separate hole.

5. Leaking side sprayer:
If your side sprayer leaks through a crack, the seam, is visibly broken or will not shut off at all, you will need to replace the side sprayer part (951-087a) for faucets with spray mounted on the deckplate or (951-088a) for faucets with spray mounted off to the side in a separate hole.
